Questions and answers

Ordering, delivery, payment and how to use what you buy.

Ordering

How do I place an order?

Add what you want to the cart, open the cart and go to checkout. Fill in your name, phone number and where the order is going, then place the order. We call or WhatsApp you to confirm stock, the delivery charge and the total before anything is sent.

Do I need an account?

No. You only give us the details we need to deliver: a name, a phone number and a delivery location.

Can I order by phone or WhatsApp instead?

Yes. Every product page has an Order on WhatsApp button, and you can call us during opening hours. The website checkout and WhatsApp reach the same team.

Can I change or cancel an order?

Yes, as long as it has not been dispatched. Call or message us with your order number and we will change it.

Delivery & payment

Where do you deliver?

We deliver within Nairobi and send parcels to other towns in Kenya by courier. You can also arrange to collect your order in Nairobi.

How much is delivery?

It depends on where you are and how heavy the order is. We tell you the exact charge when we confirm the order, before you pay.

How do I pay?

By M-Pesa, or cash on delivery for orders within Nairobi. We send the M-Pesa details when we confirm your order. Please do not pay anyone who contacts you from a number other than the one on this website.

Using the products

Are these products medicines?

No. They are foods and traditional herbs that people use to support general wellbeing. They are not meant to diagnose, treat or cure any illness, and they do not replace care from a doctor.

Can I use herbs while pregnant, breastfeeding or on medication?

Speak to your doctor first. Several herbs, including ginkgo, hawthorn, black seed and prunus africana, can interact with medicines or are not advised in pregnancy. Each herb guide has a caution section that says who should check before use.

How should I store the powders and flour?

Keep them sealed in a cool, dry cupboard away from direct sunlight, and use a dry spoon. Moisture is what spoils powders. Honey keeps at room temperature and may set solid over time, which is normal.

How do I know how much to take?

Each guide gives a usual daily amount and how to prepare it. Start with the smaller amount and see how you feel. If you are unsure, message us and we will go through it with you.

Is the porridge suitable for children?

Yes. It is a food made from milled seeds and grains and is cooked like any other uji. For babies under one year, do not add honey, and ask your clinic before introducing new foods.
